Mirror phase is an interactive installation where a "digital mirror" is able to overlap the mirrored image of people's faces to their digital one, shot at the same time by an hidden camera located in the centre of a special surface mirroring if not back-lighted whereas being transparent and letting images passing through if receiving light from behind.
The result consists in having part of the face of the the spectator mirrored as in front of a mirror and part mirrored as in front of a screen of a camera, both part fitting each other and composing this half natural/ half digital hybrid portrait.
The result is achieved by creating an interactive software able to transform faces of people in black and white silhouette: in the black part the screen mirror naturally the faces of people while in the lightened part their projection pass through the screen.
